Assisted Reproduction and Adoption Attorney

An Overview of My Practice Throughout the State of Minnesota

From my law office in Golden Valley, I have extensive experience handling a wide range of issues related to adoption and assisted reproduction. I understand the emotional impact these matters have and provide responsive, compassionate and thorough representation to individuals in the Minneapolis and St. Paul areas, across the state of Minnesota, throughout the United States and internationally. Contact me to set up a free initial consultation.

My comprehensive assisted reproduction and adoption law practice includes representation in matters involving:

  • Stepparent, second parent and relative adoptions: Many individuals seek to adopt the minor child of a spouse, domestic partner or relative; I offer sensitive representation for this important legal proceeding. I handle all required paperwork and represent adopting parties in all hearings and court proceedings. See my page on stepparent and second parent adoptions to learn more.
  • Direct placements/open adoptions/independent adoptions: I work with individuals and couples who seek to build families through adoption, working as your liaison with your adoption agency and making certain that all procedures are followed. For additional information see my page on direct placement adoptions.
  • Assisted reproduction/third-party reproduction/collaborative reproduction: I handle all matters related to the negotiation, review and preparation of gestational carrier or surrogacy agreements, egg and sperm donor contracts throughout Minnesota on behalf of gestational carriers or traditional surrogates. I will carefully review proposed contracts to ensure that issues such as compensation and medical insurance are properly addressed. To learn more, visit my page on assisted reproduction.
  • Paternity and maternity orders: I represent intended parents and adopting parents, to secure pre-birth and post-birth custody orders in direct placement adoptions and third party reproduction situations. See my page on court orders for additional information.
